These beads, mainly glass, were made in places like Venice, Italy as well as The Netherlands, Germany, China and Indonesia. Beads of stone and shell were carved and created in South American cultures, India and the Orient. Although beads were made in the billions, some are quite rare, examples of which reside in museums and private collections _ including ours! These are highly prized and sought after examples of history and artistry. The Beads, Crystals & more collection contains many rare beads only seen in these museums. We began purchasing Trade Beads directly from our African trading friends in 1974. Through the years our purchases of Trade Beads have helped not only the African families, but their villages as well.
The quality of relationships and friendships, and the considerable time and money spent in our investments in quality beads, has led to our seeing many beads before anyone else has the opportunity. Therefore our clients will see inventory and quality that is rarely available. Our ideal is a full strand of the same beads affording designers and artists the maximum ability to work with certain desirable rare beads. Often these beads are only found in small groups, so finding long matched strands is a bead collectors dream come true. You can never have enough good beads!
